You'll Need:

1 tbsp olive oil 

3 shallots - diced 

1 bundle green onions - cleaved, green and white partitioned 

4 cloves garlic - minced 

2 tbsp ginger - crisp, minced 

5.5 glasses low sodium chicken stock - or water for veggie lover 

2 entire star anise 

2 tbsp soy sauce - or Tamari for a Gluten Free choice 

10 oz crimini mushrooms - cut 

6 oz rice noodles 

1.5 heads bok choy - generally slashed 

sesame seeds - for garnish 

red pepper chips - for fixing

How to Make:


  1. Warmth 1-2 tablespoons olive oil in a medium-sized stockpot over medium warmth. 
  2. To the oil include the diced shallots and blend well. Cook over medium warmth for 4-5 minutes, or until the shallots turn translucent and begin to diminish. Mix regularly. 
  3. Cleave the end off of each green onion-separating the white part from the green part. Slash and put aside the green part to top. In the interim, finely cleave the white piece of each green onion. 
  4. Include the white piece of the green onions, minced garlic, and ginger to the shallots and blend. Cook, blending once in a while, for 1-2 minutes or until garlic and ginger is fragrant. 
  5. Cautiously pour the chicken stock or water (or blend) into the pot and convey to a stew. To the pot include the star anise and soy sauce. Spread and keep on stewing for 10 minutes.
